Darn, more and more we drift away from the landscape photography. Anyhow, this one is too good: a plateau shoe (!) sole (!!!), covered in… well, let’s just assume a moviegoer on his way home stumbled and accidentally emptied his bag of popcorn and a can of Red Bull over it, shall we?
On a side note: I love iPhoto’s new Highlight, Shadow and De-Noise sliders. Turns everything into a Hockney painting…

Wow. Good to know Dunedin has sole… soul…
Loving the site!
Ah, a new twisted soul! Welcome to the temple of twistedness, brother!
I would love to have seen Vermeer tackle this scene.
Someone put her foot in and almost left it there. I admire the presence of mind of the artist to capture this evokative picture-story. One picture says more than … a thousand words they say. And says it so eloquently. Beautyfully-ugly!
I have often marvelled at all the single shoes left by the side of the road. Who left them there? And why? No question here with this one. I often thought I should photograph them all and make a collection. Well, someone has started! With the ultimate shoe-left-by-the-side-of-the-road picture.
Great idea: “Taken off, puked on, loft – an anthology of contemporary side-of-the-road shoe photography”. That should be an easy pitch to any publisher!
